This training will provide ECE professionals with a brief overview of the importance of building healthy relationships with young children under their care. The training provides a basic overview of brain development, early developmental theories, attachment styles, and how early adverse life experiences can have a negative impact on the formation of secure relationships. The training will incorporate activities where participants will be asked to use learned knowledge with case studies (how to incorporate language with children that may show dysregulated behavior). Participants will also discuss how new learned knowledge from the training can be applied to their everyday work with young children (ways in which they can work with young children to form secure attachments). Most of the focus will be on the formation of attachments between the child and childcare providers.
